The past several years have presented multiple response opportunities involving Internal Floating Roof tanks that have taken Williams Fire & Hazard Control into some of the more precarious scenarios we have seen in the course of 30 years of flammable liquids response.
We have responded both domestically and internationally to Internal Floating Roof tank fires that bear complexities with respect to both tank design and flammable liquids / gaseous characteristics that would challenge even the most seasoned responder ... and indeed we would rather not face them with traditional equipment and tactics.
Hence, we have developed equipment that is tailored to address the hazards specific to these incidents.
Our Dual-Agent chamber offers a two-phase extinguishing agent response to the interior of the tank without exposing personnel to hazardous and explosive contingencies.

The first phase cascades a rich blanket of ThunderStorm AR-AFFF foam to extinguish and seal the surface of the contained product, while a follow on phase of PKW evacuates the internal vapor space of any lingering flammable vapors rendering the space inert.
