Fraud & Supplier Scam Alert

Williams Fire & Hazard Control has been made aware of fraudulent communications involving unauthorized individuals attempting to use our company name, employee names, branding, and reputation to obtain credit, place orders, request pricing, or conduct other business activities under false pretenses.

 

These scams may include:

  • Fake purchase orders

  • Fraudulent credit applications

  • Requests for materials or equipment

  • Banking or payment instruction changes

  • Emails impersonating current or former Williams employees

  •  

In many cases, these communications appear legitimate and may include:

  • The Williams Fire & Hazard Control logo

  • Real employee names or titles

  • Accurate company information or addresses

  • Email addresses designed to look similar to official Williams domains

Some fraudulent emails have been sent using free email providers such as Gmail or other non-company domains while claiming to represent Williams Fire & Hazard Control.

Official Williams Fire & Hazard Control communications are sent only from authorized company email domains associated with:

  • @williamsfire.com

Williams Fire & Hazard Control does not conduct purchasing, credit applications, or supplier onboarding through Gmail, Yahoo, Hotmail, or other public email services.

How to Identify Potential Fraud

Please use caution if you receive communications that:

  • Request urgent action or immediate shipment

  • Ask to open unexpected attachments or links

  • Request changes to banking or payment information

  • Come from email addresses that do not match official Williams company domains

  • Contain unusual grammar, formatting, or inconsistencies

  • Claim to represent former employees or individuals no longer associated with Williams

Before shipping materials, extending credit, changing banking details, or processing any request, please independently verify the communication directly with Williams Fire & Hazard Control.

 

Do not rely solely on the contact information provided in the suspicious email or document.

 

Please verify requests by phone whenever possible by calling our main telephone line at +1 409 971 4100 and asking to speak directly with the individual referenced in the communication or the person responsible for banking confirmations or account setup.
